Much More Than Animal Communication

Lily is an old soul.

When I decided to become an animal communicator, my main goal was to be able to communicate with my cats. To connect with them to make sure that they are happy and healthy. I didn’t really expect all that would come with connecting with my cats. All of the lessons. The ways that I can help them with issues that a traditional approach may not be able to. Just how in tuned and connected our cats are with not only their own energy, but the energy in their environment. It has all been amazing. I am quickly realizing that it is all so much more than animal communication.

A Non-traditional Approach

Being able to help these cats on a soul level has allowed me to help them with issues when a traditional approach falls short. A cat who is dealing with issues of anxiety may be prescribed medication by their vet. And, yes, while these medications can help, are they really resolving the issue at hand? Most likely, no. Cats who have anxiety are usually dealing with an issue that is more deeply rooted. Childhood trauma can play a huge part when dealing with cats who suffer from anxiety. So, by just medicating the cat, are we really dealing with the issue? Or are we just covering it up?

Cactus is a prime example of this. She was having a rough couple of weeks. Childhood trauma of being “snatched” up when I trapped her and Lily as kittens had resurfaced and caused her to be very fearful of strangers coming to the house. Then, days of storms, fireworks, and falling trees caused her to become extremely fearful of just even going outside on the screen porch. I worked with her daily for almost a week, clearing the childhood and recent trauma to help her gain her confidence back. It was a process of working with her on a soul level to clear those deeply rooted issues and much more than just animal communication. And now, Cactus is peacefully sleeping in her beloved RV on the screen porch.

Your Cat Knows

Whenever our cats are dealing with any issues, be it behavioral or health related, they know exactly what they need to deal with these issues. We just have to listen to them. The more I am strengthening my intuition and deepening my connection with my cats, the more they are able to communicate with me exactly what they need. I have had to learn to really “listen” to them. To pay attention to that little voice that sometimes goes off in my head and to realize that voice is really them telling me what they need.

Bodie seeking out the sunshine.

This happened just the other day with Bodie. Throughout the day, I kept getting pulled to the color yellow. I wanted to wear a yellow shirt. That should have been my first clue because I never gravitate towards the color yellow. Then I was seeking out sunshine. Not unusual. As I was creating some social media posts, I kept choosing yellow for backgrounds. Once again, not my normal go to. Finally, Bodie jumped on my lap, and I received a clear picture of him lounging in the sunlight, completely surrounded by the color yellow. And then it hit me. I wasn’t the one needing the color yellow. It was Bodie.

When I looked back at all of the instances where I was drawn to the color yellow, I realized that every time, Bodie was near me. He was in the closet with me when I felt a pull to wear a yellow shirt. He was on the screen porch when I felt the need to sit in the sun. As I was working on post for social media, Bodie was beside me. It finally took him getting onto my lap and connecting with me BEFORE I heard him. He had been trying to tell me what he needed all day, and I wasn’t listening. After giving him yellow fabric to sleep on, he promptly slept on it for the rest of the day. Absolutely fascinating.

Beyond Communicating

Being able to help not only my cats, but other cats in need on a level that goes beyond a traditional approach has been deeply rewarding. I absolutely love connecting with a cat and helping them work through issues they are dealing with. Helping an anxious cat release trauma and then being able to recommend some colors, herbs, or crystals that THEY would like to work with is so rewarding. What originally started out as a way to communicate with my own cats has evolved into being able to help so many other cats live a happy and healthy life. So much more than just animal communication.
