Your Cat’s Job

Those of us with cats know about their very “important” cat jobs. The biscuit maker, box inspector, alarm clock, food inspector, and ghost spotter to name a few. However, all jokes aside, did you know that your cat has an actual job, a purpose, in your life. That cute little ball of fluff did not just happen into your life. No, they came into your life for a reason. To serve a purpose. To help you in a way that you probably didn’t even realize you needed. So, what is your cat’s job?

A Path of Purpose

Almost a year ago, I was put in the path of Sylvie Sterling, a cat whisperer, intuitive healer, spiritual teacher, and awakening coach. It was through her that I learned about how each of our cats have a specific purpose. A job so to speak. Each of our cats have a main archetype that allows them to help us. Determining their archetype and purpose will not only strengthen the bond with your cat but will also allow your cat to be happier and healthier because they will be acknowledged and allowed to serve their purpose.

Emmet, my Teacher

Over the past year, I have started down a path that has been guided and supported by my cats. Learning my cat’s specific archetype means I can utilize them along my path. Allowing Lily, my Joybringer, to lighten my mood and fill my heart with joy when I need a break. Learning from the many lessons that Emmet, my Teacher, has for me daily. Remembering to unapologetically be myself from Cactus, my Muse. Opening my heart to the unconditional love that Zazzles, my Lover, offers me. Letting Bodie, Hemingway, and Sloopy, my Energy Workers and Healers, to do their job and remove and shift energies that are no longer needed. All of this has provided me with the ability to move along my own path of purpose, fully supported.

Purposefully Happy

Once I started learning and acknowledging my cat’s purpose, I noticed a huge difference in, not only my life, but my cat’s as well. Tensions eased in the house. Each of them seemed to become happier. They all knew their purpose and was just waiting for me to realize it and allow them to do their jobs. Now that we are all on the same page, we all seem to be working in synchrony. It has been interesting to watch each cat “show up” when they know they are needed. Last Monday, after a few emotionally difficult days, I knew I needed a day to rest and recharge. Vegging on the couch and binge-watching TV was on the agenda.

Cactus, my Muse. Zazzles, my Lover. Bodie, my Energy Worker.

Interestingly, for most of the day, I had 5 of the 7 cats spread out on the couch and my lap. Even more interesting was which cats were with me. Bodie (Energy Worker), Hemingway (Energy Fairy), Sloopy (Energy Worker/Healer), Cactus (Muse), and Zazzles (Lover) surrounded the entire day. All whose purpose I needed at that time. Emmet (Teacher) and Lily (Joybringer) knew they services were not what I needed at that moment and were allowing the ones I did need to be around me. It was quite fascinating. And absolutely worked. By the end of the day, I was feeling so much better, relaxed and ready to tackle another day.

Your Cat’s Purpose

So, what is your cat’s purpose in your life? If you take some time to think about it, their purpose will probably come to you. Does seeing your cat just fill you with a sense of joy? Then you might have a Joybringer. Do you have a cat that seems almost like a dog, always following you and ready to protect you? You might have a Protector? Does your cat always want to sleep on you, maybe even more when you are feeling out of sorts? You might have an Energy Worker or Healer? If you are interested in learning more about The Cat Archetypes and which one is present in your cat, check out Sylvie’s free e-book download and allow your cat to live their life with purpose.
