Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. 2nd to Halloween because of all the obvious reasons. The Christmas season is truly the most wonderful time of the year for me. There is something about the cold weather, the hustle and bustle, Christmas movies and lights, and spending time with loved ones. I love it all. For me, it is also a time of reflection. How far I have come over the past year and where I want to go in the coming year. Time off from school allows me to be able to curl up with the cats watching Christmas movies and cherishing the moment and opportunity to wish everyone a Meowy Catmas.
‘Tis the Season
“Tis the season to be jolly may not be for everyone. This may be the 1st Christmas without someone they love, whether it be a person or pet. That feeling of loss can cast a shadow on the joy and excitement of Christmas. This is our 3rd Christmas without my mom. The 1st Christmas was difficult, but we made it through it. We created traditions that allowed us to keep her memory alive while creating new memories. Each year it does get easier.
This is the 1st winter without our Panda Bear. He was the outside cat that came with the house we bought 2 years ago. It has been hard the past few months since he passed. I find myself looking for him whenever I go outside. Being outside doesn’t have the same enjoyment for me as it once did. We still have his heated house set up on the screen porch. His outside house in still on our back porch as well. I just haven’t been able to take them down yet. His absence is greatly felt, and he is deeply missed.
With Joyful Hearts
Although the holiday season can bring sadness, it also brings joy and wonder. It is easy to get caught up in the stress and chaos of the holidays. To let the sadness creep in and take over. Remembering to take a moment to enjoy all that Christmas has to offer is so very important. This is the time of year to be joyful, not like Scrooge or the Grinch. To see the world through the eyes of a child on Christmas morning. The awe and wonder at the magic of Christmas. For it is a magical time of year. If you let the magic take hold. I believe in miracles, especially during Christmas. My Christmas Wish for you all is to have a very blessed, magical and miraculous Christmas. Meowy Catmas from me and my clowder.
