Last week, I had the amazing opportunity to attend a Q & A session with Billy Hoekman, VP of Nutrition & Communication for Green Juju. It was an informative and entertaining 90 minutes. Emmet had recently started drinking their Raw Goat’s Milk and I was interested in learning more about their other products and how they could benefit my cats. Billy and Green Juju did not disappoint.
Another Healthy Raw Option
Although Green Juju is mainly geared towards the dog in your life, their products have amazing benefits for our cats as well. As obligate carnivores, our cats prefer and thrive on a raw meat diet. However, providing them with some fruits and vegetables can help supply them with nutrients and antioxidants that their bodies require to stay healthy. A cat in the wild that catches and eats their prey will also consume whatever that prey previously ate. Providing them with necessary nutrients from an herbivore diet. Something our indoor cats miss out on.
Green Juju products allow us to add these necessary ingredients to our cat’s diet easily. As I said earlier, Emmet has been drinking their Raw Goat’s Milk for a few weeks now. Because he has been dealing with “the mass of unknown origin” and is on daily steroids, I wanted to find another way to improve his immune system and gut health. Green Juju’s Raw Goat’s Milk is an excellent source of proteins, fats, enzymes, probiotics, vitamins, minerals and more. Exactly what Emmet needs. And he loves it!
Green Juju also has bone broth which is excellent for supporting joints, skin and digestion. Bone broth is an easy way to help add hydration to your cat’s diet. The product that excited me the most was their Freeze-Dried Bites. These come in 5 proteins (beef, bison, salmon, duck and pork) with each protein combined with some fruits and vegetables to increase the benefits. I was very interested in their Beef Red which contains beef hearts. Emmet also has a slight heart murmur. Beef hearts are abundant in taurine which helps prevent heart disease. Not only did Emmet love it, but so did the other cats. Purchased some Duck Orange and we shall see how they like it.
Green Juju Added to Our Raw Food Rotation
We all know that I am a huge advocate for feeding our cat’s a species appropriate raw food diet. I also know that some may not be able to financially support this kind of diet for their cats. Green Juju products are an excellent, easy and cost-effective way to add some raw food into your cat’s diet. You can use the Raw Goat’s Milk as a treat or add some to their existing food to help improve hydration. The same can be done with the Bone Broth. Use the Freeze-Dried Bites as treats or crumble some over their wet food to improve their meal’s benefits. You can also add water to the Freeze-Dried Bites to rehydrate as a complete meal. The options are endless, and the benefits are huge.
