Over the past few years, I have learned more about the connection between human and cat. The connection between you and your cat goes very deep. Deeper than you might realize. I have talked about how our cats are just furry little teachers who come into our lives with lessons for us. How our cats all have a purpose in our lives that they need to complete in order to be happy and healthy. The more I realized this, the more I started to pay attention to what they were trying to tell me and started working on myself. It was amazing watching how working on myself helped my cats.
A Mutual Agreement
We have had some issues among Zazzles, Bodie, and Hemingway for a while now. I have been using Jackson Galaxy’s Solutions with them, as well as my crystals, herbs, and hydrosols. Things have calmed down greatly, but we still have a slight tension lingering. Knowing that our cats our little furry teachers that have lessons for us, I knew that I needed to look within. I needed to see what areas in my own personal life that I needed to work on. What exactly were my cats trying to tell me? What areas did I need to work on?
If you are of the belief that we have soul contracts with our cats, then our cats are in our lives for a reason. I know that Emmet’s purpose in my life is to be my teacher. All of his health issues have been to prepare me on my path to be able to help other cats with similar health issues. But what are the reasons/purpose for the constant tension between 3 of my cats? Looking at what was going on in my own life was key in easing the tensions in our house. Seeing just how connected my cats are to me and my feelings, emotions, and energy was game changing in helping them find a way to mutually coexist.
Lessons Learned
As I started working on myself, I noticed things starting to change among my cats. I started practicing more self-care. Started taking time for myself. Working on meditating and journaling and setting intentions. Changing my mindset and shifting my own energy. It was amazing to see how not only I was positively affected by these changes, but so were my cats. Coincidence? I tend to think not. There was a definite connection between the two things. It was proven even more when I would start to feel stressed about things and tensions would flare up among the cats again.
Over the past few months, I have been doing a lot of self-reflection. I have been making it a priority to work on myself and any areas of my life that don’t bring me joy. It has been a challenging journey at times, but worth it all. I know how connected I am with my cats. Paying attention to their lessons and working on myself has made huge difference in our lives. We have had moments where Zazzles and Bodie are actually sharing the same space. Which is HUGE!!! Tensions between Zazzles and Hemingway have also eased up. I am sure there is still a lesson for me to learn with those two.
Future Lessons
I am sure that my furry little teachers are not done with their life lessons for me. As I journey further down my new path, I am sure that there will be new lessons for me to learn. Realizing these lessons are usually there for me to change and grow from within will help my cats adapt and adjust as well. If you are dealing with any kind of behavior or health issues with you cats, ask yourself what they are trying to tell you. What lessons do they have for you? What areas do you need to work on in your life? Answering those questions can go a long way to keeping your cats happy and healthy.
