I am sure it is no surprise that I’m going to CatCon, again! So excited! I get to hang out with all of my favorite cat people. And we all know that cat people are the BEST PEOPLE!! However, as excited as I am about this AMEOWZING weekend, there is so much that I have to do to in order to be away from my furbabies for four days. Ensuring that they remain happy and healthy while I am away is priority. Leaving my furbabies always causes me anxiety. I always worry about them. However, this time, I have some tools and techniques that I am able to use to check in on them while I am away at CatCon.
Communicating & Checking In
I have an amazing pet sitter who does really well with keeping up with all that my cats need and the insane schedule of taking care of 18 cats. There are also cameras throughout my house, so I can check in and watch how they are doing. However, this year, I have another way to check in with my cats while I am gone. Now, I can connect and communicate with them. They will be able to let me know if they need anything.
Because I can now communicate with my cats, I will also be able to let them know before I leave what is going to happen. Let them know how long I will be gone and what they can expect. Having this way to ensure they are happy and healthy while I am gone has helped to ease some of my anxiety. It is reassuring to know that not only will I be able to see them on the cameras, but I can intuitively check in with them. I will be able to feel if there are any problems or if they need anything.
All of my other “Woo Woo”
Of course, I will be implementing all of my other “woo woo” with them. They will have their herb gardens complete with their favorites. Chamomile, Calendula, & Valerian Root for their calming properties. Lavender to ease any anxiety. And, of course, Catnip, a big favorite of my cats. They will have their hydrosol water bowls with Frankincense, Chamomile, & Calendula. The Frankincense will help with any anxiety they may be feeling but will also help with inflammation that may arise from the stress of me being away.
And of course, they will have so many crystals that they can interact with. Currently, they have access to three crystal gardens that they can interact with how they need. These gardens have crystals that are associated with all seven of the chakras as well as help with clearing any negative energy they may be dealing with. Some of our go-to crystals are Rose Quartz, Amethyst, Citrine, Golden Healer Quartz, Lapis Lazuli, Amazonite, Selenite, as well as, Pink, Blue, and Green Calcite. These are just the ones that I place down for them. There are many, many more crystals throughout my house that they can interact with and benefit from
Ease of Mind
I am not saying that I won’t still have some anxiety and worry about leaving my furbabies. However, I do feel better prepared to be able to connect with them and check in with them. That is definitely ease a lot of my anxiety. I am so grateful to have awaken and develop my ability to be able to communicate with my cats. It has given me peace of mind and will allow me to fully enjoy this amazing weekend that I am getting ready to have at CatCon again!
