3 Easy Ways To Use Crystals With Your Cats

Emmet receiving crystal energies.

Over the past few months, I have been using crystals with my cats. We have been great results and it has been really fascinating to watch them gravitate towards the crystal energy that they need. Cats are very energetic creatures and feel and respond to the vibrations and frequencies of crystals easier than humans. Using crystals with your cats has many benefits. Crystals energy can provide healing, help with behavioral issues, and provide a sense of calm and security. Here are 3 easy ways to use crystals with your cats.

A Crystal Garden

I have been using herb gardens with my cats for well over a year. You place down a towel or blanket and put a generous amount of each herb down for your cats to self-select. You can use this same technique with crystals. I use a towel and place a crystal in each corner. This allows my cats to use the crystal energy that they need. When using this technique, be sure to use bigger crystals. Clusters work well for this technique. You do not want to use smaller crystals or stones, usually known as pocket crystals. Your cat may see these as toys and swat them around. Or they may swallow them.

Zazzles wants all of the crystal energies.

I have 2 crystal gardens down for my cats. One garden has Amethyst, Aquamarine, Orange Calcite and Rose Quartz. All four of those are great to help with protection, soothing anxiety, grounding, self-love and peace. Exactly what we all need. The other garden has Citrine, Dalmation Jasper, Blue, Green, and Pink Calcite (we really like Calcite in this house). Calcite is a great crystal for helping anxiety and creating peace. I have chosen 4 different colors associated with my cat’s chakras that need balancing. Citrine helps with self-esteem and Dalmation Jasper works to create harmony among pets.

Smaller Crystals & Pocket Stones

If you do not have bigger crystals to use in a crystal garden, you can still provide your cat with the benefits of crystal energy safely. You can place smaller crystals and pocket stones under a blanket for them to lie on. Putting some in your cat’s bed or cat tree is another option. You can also place a few crystals or pocket stones in an organza bag and tie it near the areas that they frequent. Be sure to put some near your own bed and you will both reap the benefits.

I have black tourmaline all around the house to help dispel negative energies. Amethyst and Rose Quartz are placed around typical sleeping areas. Red Jasper is placed in areas that have been high tension to help with creating a sense of security. I have also brought crystals pouches to Feral Cat Assistance Program to help with 2 feral cats that are been housed awaiting surgeries and treatment. Pouches of Hematite, Rose Quartz and Red Jasper to help with anxiety and stress.

Crystal Grooming

This is the newest technique that I have learned. Using crystals to brush your cats. I can’t believe that I have never thought of this before. I learned this nifty little trick through Manifested Harmony. She did a live with Purrrfectly Holistic talking about using crystals with your cats. It was really fascinating. When she mentioned using crystals to brush your cats, I was amazed. I couldn’t wait to try it. For this technique, it is best to use crystals in their raw form. Not the polished, tumbled crystals. Cats seem to like to points of the raw crystals as you are brushing them.

At this point, I only have amethyst and citrine in raw form. I decided to start with the amethyst. And Hemingway was my first subject, only because he was asleep on the couch near me. I let him sniff the crystal and asked him if I could brush him. It is important to ask permission before hand. I then proceeded to brush him from head to tail with the raw amethyst. He was in heaven. Absolute heaven. What’s even more fascinating is Hemingway absolutely hates to be brushed. Very rarely am I able to get any grooming done on him. And yet, here he was leaning into the amethyst as I brushed him with it. Amazing!

Benefits Your Cat AND You

There is a side effect of using crystals with your cats. YOU will start to benefit from the crystal energy as well. You don’t need to be holding a crystal to receive its energy. Just being in the room with them will give you the benefits of a crystal’s vibrational energy. Since I have been placing the crystals around the house for my cats, my husband and I have been reaping the benefits. He even mentioned the other day that the energy in the house feels different. Feels lighter and more attuned. The tensions that we have been dealing with between Hemingway, Bodie and Zazzles have decreased a lot. When we do have those rare moments of tension, the involved parties will make their way to a crystal garden afterwards. The woo woo power of crystals at work.
