So, I am sure it is not surprising to most of you that I am going to CatCon this year. A 2-day cat-centric event is right up the alley for someone who calls themselves The Dedicated Feline Enthusiast. However, being that the 1st CatCon was in 2015, it has taken me 8 long years to finally make that leap to attend. CatCon is in Pasadena, CA, clear across the country. And this Cat Lady is not a fan of flying. At all! In addition to not being a fan of flying, there is also the cost associated with attending this 2-day event clear across the country. CatCon tickets, plane tickets, hotel room. Not to mention spending money for all of the amazing products that I will come across and must have. As well as booking my pet sitter to stay with my babies while I am gone. Through it all, I am going to CATCON!!!
What is CatCon?
CatCon started in 2015 and has definitely grown over the past 8 years. It has something for everyone. Products, workshops, exhibitions, cat influencers, cat advocates, rescues, cats available for adoption and so much more. It is a cat lover’s heaven. Each year, I would contemplate going, but then talk myself out of it. Then, I would have “nonattending remorse”. However, I never really could justify spending the money to go. But this year is different. This year I have a reason to go. I have you, my readers.
This year I get to go and be inspired, educated and entertained. See what new and amazing products are out there to improve our cat’s wellbeing. Attend workshops about topics that are important to us and our cats. This year I get to be among “my people”. Those who love their cats as much as I do. Other “Crazy Cat Moms & Dads”. Those who go above and beyond for provide the best life possible for their cats. I am so excited. Beyond excited! With maybe a hint of anxiety. But it will be worth it to be fully immersed in all things CATS for 2 days!!!
Next Level DFE
Because I am using my readers as my “reason” to attend CatCon this year, I will be sharing as much as possible throughout that weekend. I will attend as many workshops as possible. Scope out the next best products for our cats. See which companies have our babies’ wellbeing at the forefront of their products. Appealing to not only the physical, but mental, emotional and spiritual aspects. Of course, I will pet as many cats as I possibly can, because why would I go to CatCon and not pet cats?? Taking the leap and going to CatCon this year has moved me to next level DFE and I am ok with that.

Congratulations!! That’s so exciting!
Thank you!! I am so excited!!
