Do Your Spoil Your Cat?

There is a running joke among those who know me that when they die, they want to come back as one of my cats. So, why would anyone want to come back as one of my cats? Well, it is because of the care that I provide for my cats. Some may say that I spoil them. However, I disagree with that statement. Providing my cats with a lifestyle that allows them to be their happiest and healthiest isn’t spoiling them. Do you spoil your cat, or do you provide for them the way that they deserve?

Healthier diet is not spoiling

I have always tried to provide my cats with a high-quality lifestyle. Giving them the best to ensure they are happy and healthy. Learning more about the importance of high-quality food and supplements, I have been making changes to their diets. Gone are the days of free grazing of dry kibble. The majority of my cats are feed a species appropriate raw food diet. They others have been switched to a higher quality wet food. They all receive daily supplements from The-Two-Crazy-Cat-Ladies. Treats are now freeze dried raw, usually from Green Juju. They also get Green Juju’s Raw Goat’s Milk.

These changes may have increased the amount of money that I spend on my cats each month. As well as the amount of time it now takes me to prepare their food and feed them. It has been worth it to know that I am doing everything that I can to keep them happy and healthy. After losing Monti from kidney disease at age four and dealing with Emmet’s GI tract issues, I made the decision that I was going to start being proactive rather than reactive. Part of that decision was to change the diets of all the cats to healthier foods.

Necessary extras

Most people would agree that it is important to feed your cats quality food. Spending money on high-quality food would not be considered spoiling. Of course, I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t take it a step or two further. Over the past couple of years, I have learned more and more about the importance and benefits of providing your cats with herbs, hydrosols, and crystals. Realizing that our cats are no different than we are when it comes to being able to reap the benefits of the “woo woo” was a game changer for me. Over time, I started providing my cats with herb and crystals gardens and bowls of hydrosol waters for them to be able to self-select and work on any issues that they might be having.

And this is where people would say that I spoil my cats. Taking the time to learn what my cats would need to be able to thrive. Spending the time to place down fresh herbs and hydrosol waters daily and weekly. Paying attention to how my cats are acting or feeling so I can offer them appropriate crystals. All of this may seem extra, but it is just another way for me to ensure that my cats are being allowed to live their best lives. Seeing how much it has increased their health and happiness prompted me to start Moon Mojo Feline, which allows me to help other cat parents provide their cats with herbs, hydrosols, and crystals so they live their best cat lives.

Spoil away

If providing my cats with ways to live their best lives is spoiling them, then fine I will continue to spoil my cats. Ensuring that they are all happy and healthy is important to me. Seeing them so happy and healthy brings joy to my heart. If anything, spending money on my cat’s health and happiness is actually spoiling myself, not them. There is nothing that bring me more joy than to see my babies running and playing, living their best lives. It warms my heart to know that their health and happiness is because I have “spoiled” them. And I will continue to spoil them.
